We are definitely dog lovers here at Distinctively Dachshund, and we know you are too, or you wouldn't be browsing here. Dachshunds are so bright and curious that they provide endless material for the storytellers among us. If your dog has inspired a family story, and you would like to share it with the world, please send it to us. We’ll try to put it up on our web site as part of our on-going Dachshund Stories project.
Here are some guidelines for items you may want to send:
Stories:
Space on the web site is limited, so stories need to be kept to a manageable size. An ideal length would be the equivalent of 1 to 2 typewritten pages. We may be able to work with longer stories, but will probably have to break them up into multiple installments.
If possible you should send your story in the body of your email (type it in your favorite program, then cut and paste it into the email). Attachments may work if they are in .txt or .rtf format. Please don’t send native word processor files, as we probably won’t be able to open them.
Of course if you are more comfortable with your old Underwood, we will happily accept stories by regular mail. Typewritten is preferred because we can’t guarantee how well we’ll interpret your handwriting.
The Fine Print:
Distinctively Dachshund presents stories and pictures of dachshunds and their friends for the enjoyment of all dog lovers. By sending us your stories or pictures, you grant us a non-exclusive right to reproduce your text or images on our web site. Needless to say, you are also representing to us that these items are not copyrighted by others or restricted in some other way.
